Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Elko, NV seeks an Open Pit Mine Engineer II or III to join our team. The role emphasizes safety, technical excellence, and clear communication with engineers, operators, surveyors, geologists, and metallurgists.

Responsibilities include short-, mid-, and long-range mine planning, plan presentations to stakeholders, and ensuring plans meet performance and safety goals. A mining engineering degree and site experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of post-education mining engineering experience at a site.
• Proficiency in Deswik, Python and SQL.
• Engineer-in-Training or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Strong CAD and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Mine planning duties including daily/short-range to life of mine plans.
• Mentioned responsibilities: design and communicate mine plans to crews and stakeholders.
• Lead planning meetings and present Mine Plan outcomes to customers.
• Ensure plans are safe, realistic, and technically correct.
• Support other engineering projects as required.
