Job summary

Barminco Mining Service has an exciting opportunity for a Service Crew to join our team at a project location 65 miles outside of Elko, Nevada. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all services required underground for the development of drives and production are carried out efficiently.

Location: 65 Miles outside of Elko, Nevada • Shift: 14-days on / 14-days off rotation • Accommodation: Camp and meals provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in the Underground Mining Industry.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to effectively prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
• Must have good radio etiquette and strong communications skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all HS&E policies, procedures and instructions.
• Complies with Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
• Takes reasonable care for own safety and that of others.
• Performs pre-start checks and SWICs.
• Maintains inspections and maintenance on equipment before use.
• Ensures tools are serviceable and safe.
• Works to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
• Liaises with underground shift supervisor to ensure work is safe and efficient.
• Works with trades and non-trades to carry out tasks around the underground mine.
