Job summary

Sunshine is seeking a Mine Geologist I to support underground mining operations with geological interpretation, data collection, and 3D modeling. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to maintain accurate geological information and support drilling programs.

The role involves both underground work and office-based analysis to guide daily operations and longer-term planning. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in geology or geological engineering, underground

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering or equivalent
• Prior exploration or mine production geology experience preferred
• Underground experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote safe and environmentally compliant work activities at all times
• Input, manage, and maintain geological and drilling data for ongoing programs
• Assist with geologic project work related to interpretation of complex geology
• Perform grade control and sampling, geological mapping, and provide guidance in production and development areas
• Monitor QA/QC data and procedures
• Assist with drilling activities including core handling and logging
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to support daily operations
