Job summary

Kinross Round Mountain is seeking a university geology student for a hands-on internship in underground mining. The role supports the geology team with routine duties and special projects, providing exposure to development, grade control, data collection, and core logging in Nevada.

You will work alongside geology, mine operations, engineering, and survey teams, documenting observations and learning field tools and databases.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in geology or related bachelor's degree.
• At least two years of university coursework preferred.
• 0-2 years geology or mining experience preferred.
• Must be able to work safely and follow RMGC safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist underground geologists with development heading mapping and grade control.
• Assist with underground mapping, sampling programs, and data collection.
• Document structural, geotechnical, groundwater observations.
• Assist with underground drilling programs and core logging.
• Maintain organized core and sample records.
