Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety-focused Class C Lineman Underground to build and repair underground distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, as needed, reporting to the Foreman.

Required are a valid CDL Class A, at least two years of underground experience, and willingness to work outages, storms and emergencies. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours with PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of underground line experience.
• Valid CDL (Class A).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/pull 50 lbs, work extended hours including weekends/holidays.
• Willing to work outages, storms, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of underground distribution systems (energized and de-energized).
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors; troubleshoot faults on primary/secondary systems.
• Learn switching, tagging, grounding and voltage testing under supervision.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment under supervision.
• Operate excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling gear).
• Work outdoors in extreme weather; endure noise and fumes.
