Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking an Underground Lineman to construct and repair energized underground systems with a safety-first approach. This role may require travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, and reports to the Foreman.

The position involves leading crew members in the absence of supervision, conducting safety briefings, and mentoring apprentices. A CDL is required, and candidates must be willing to travel and work outside normal hours, including overtime.

Qualifications

• Three years of underground experience.
• Valid CDL is required.
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair underground power systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor; conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground conductors and hardware.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks, and mini excavator.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions; respond to outages and emergencies.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-sticks techniques.
