Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class B Lineman Underground for field operations supporting electrical underground distribution systems. The role involves hands-on construction, maintenance, and repair at various locations with potential travel to other states based on customer demand.

The ideal candidate has substantial field experience, the ability to work safely with energized equipment, and the physical stamina to perform demanding outdoor tasks in diverse weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 3-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit within 60 days of employment.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of energized and de-energized underground work.
• Strings overhead wire when required.
• Sets poles and anchors.
• Installs transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Troubleshoots in primary and secondary systems.
