Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, as needed. Report to the Foreman.

The role requires climbing structures, working outdoors in all weather, and being available for outages and on-call rotations. A strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, emergencies, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems (energized and de-energized).
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding and voltage isolation procedures with proper PPE and tools.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks and other equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and respond to outages or emergencies.
