Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman Underground to support electrical underground distribution projects. This role involves travel to various locations and may require working in different states based on customer needs.

Responsibilities include installing transformers and switchgear, replacing fuses, troubleshooting high voltage systems, and performing rigorous physical labor while adhering to safety rules and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• 3-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing construction, maintenance or repair on underground distribution systems.
• Strings overhead wire and sets poles and anchors.
• Installs transformers, crossarms, insulators and switchgear; troubleshoots in primary and secondary systems.
• Replaces fuses, clears faulted circuits and tests voltages on transformers.
• Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces; able to lift over 50 lbs.
