Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman - Overhead to perform construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems. The role involves travel to various locations and may require work in another state depending on customer demands.

The position emphasizes safety, the ability to identify voltage, and proficiency with high voltage equipment. Occasional long hours and staying in diverse locations are expected.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 60 days of employment.
• Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to work extended periods in various locations.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing construction, maintenance or repair on energized and de-energized overhead systems.
• Strings overhead wire and sets poles and anchors.
• Installs transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Troubleshoots primary and secondary systems and replaces fuses.
• Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces; uses PPE and grounding procedures.
• Performs pre-job or tailgate briefings and reconductoring tasks.
