Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman Underground to perform construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical distribution systems across multiple locations, with potential travel to other states based on customer needs.

The role requires rigorous physical labor, the ability to identify voltage levels, and experience with high voltage work. Expect outdoor work in varied weather and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
• Must follow Company safety rules and all other Company policies.
• Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair of underground distribution systems.
• Strings overhead wire and sets poles and anchors.
• Installs transformers, switchgear and related components.
• Troubleshoots primary and secondary systems and replaces fuses.
• Capable of working with energized high voltage safely.
• Maintains vehicles, equipment and tools.
