Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC seeks a Class B Lineman - Overhead to perform construction, maintenance and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. The role involves travel to various sites and potentially another state based on customer needs.

Compensation ranges from $33.02 to $42.60 per hour, with high expectations for safety and hands-on proficiency. Essential duties include installing transformers and switchgear, troubleshooting power circuits, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License permit within 60 days.
• A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repairs on overhead distribution systems.
• Install transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems.
• Work safely with energized high voltage.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good condition.
• Climb structures and work at heights as required.
