Job summary

Centuri Group seeks an Underground Lineman to perform skilled work on underground electrical distribution systems. You will install, splice, terminate, and troubleshoot cables and equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality in outdoor environments.

The role requires reading blueprints and maps, maintaining safety practices, and collaborating with crews to meet project timelines. A CDL Class A and prior underground experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience on underground service work and distribution facilities.
• Proven ability to splice, terminate, and install underground electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, safety practices, and underground construction standards.
• Experience operating and maintaining underground tools and testing devices.
• Ability to read construction drawings, maps, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair underground electrical distribution and service facilities.
• Install conduit, transformers, switches, and other underground components.
• Splice, terminate, and test underground cables per specs and safety standards.
• Locate faults and perform troubleshooting on underground circuits and equipment.
• Read blueprints/maps to ensure proper installation and system integrity.
• Coordinate with crews to complete work safely and on time.
