Job summary

Northern Star Pogo Mine is seeking an Underground Miner to safely operate underground equipment and perform a range of mining tasks. You will lead crews, mentor junior personnel, and ensure compliance with MSHA regulations while maintaining high safety and productivity standards at a remote site.

Based at a company-provided camp, the role requires strong English communication, basic computer literacy, and flexibility to adapt to demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide leadership and training to new team members.
• Current Driver’s License.
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground equipment and perform mining tasks including jumbo drilling.
• Minimise equipment downtime and maximise productivity.
• Lead underground crews and mentor junior personnel.
• Communicate clearly on two-way radio and report hazards immediately.
• Conduct pre-start checks and ensure safety compliance with MSHA requirements.
