Job summary

First Majestic Silver Corp - Jerritt Canyon Gold is seeking an Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair fixed plant and underground infrastructure supporting gold mining operations. The role emphasizes preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pumping, and ventilation systems.

You will work with Mining, Engineering, and Operations teams to minimize downtime while adhering to safety standards and site procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Recognized trade qualification or apprenticeship preferred.
• 3–5 years in industrial/mining maintenance, preferably underground.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Experience with pumps, conveyors, ventilation, dewatering systems, or similar fixed plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on underground fixed plant and infrastructure.
• Inspect and repair pumps, piping, valves, conveyors, crushers, and dewatering systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults using tools and drawings.
• Maintain equipment records, inspections, and work orders.
• Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of underground equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and perform risk assessments.
