Job summary

First Majestic Silver Corp-Jerritt Canyon Gold is seeking an Underground Operations General Supervisor to lead underground mining activities, ensuring safe, efficient ore extraction in line with mine plans and regulatory standards. The role provides direct leadership to underground crews and collaborates with Engineering, Geology, Maintenance, and Safety teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive underground hard-rock mining experience.
• 3–5+ years of supervisory or management experience in underground mining.
• Strong knowledge of underground mining methods and ground-control principles.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and contractors and meet production KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for underground mining operations across shifts and zones.
• Ensure safe, efficient production in line with mine plan.
• Set daily/weekly production priorities and communicate expectations.
• Coordinate development, stoping, ore production, and ground support.
• Supervise underground supervisors and frontline leaders.
• Maintain safety compliance and field presence.
• Monitor equipment utilization and take corrective action.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Geology, Maintenance, Safety, and others.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in mine planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Control operating costs while maintaining safety.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and environmental requirements.
• Promote continuous improvement and employee development.
