Job summary

First Majestic Silver Corp-Jerritt Canyon Gold is seeking an Underground Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on underground mining equipment. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and driveline systems, and work with loaders, haul trucks, bolters, jumbos, and other mobile gear in an underground setting.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate in a demanding mining environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical/vocational education in Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics preferred.
Completion of a recognized Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment, preferably underground mining.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on underground mobile mining equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and drivetrain systems.
Maintain and repair underground loaders, haul trucks, bolters, jumbos, and other mobile mining equipment.
Troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, axles, braking, cooling, and hydraulic systems.
Complete scheduled maintenance, component changes, rebuilds, and major repairs per manufacturer specs.
