Job summary

GTS in Cincinnati is seeking a Drop Bury Technician (1099) to install and maintain low-voltage fiber and coax buried underground across residential and commercial sites. You will provide own equipment and work to ensure safe trenching and accurate placement.

Responsibilities include locating utilities, marking lines, trenching, cable pulling, bore logs, and restoring sites. Candidates should have 1–2 years field experience, pass drug/background checks, be insured and bonded, and own required

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in drop bury field experience.
• Ability to pass required drug and background screening.
• Insured and Bonded (requirements provided).
• Owned vehicle and required equipment.

Responsibilities

• Providing own equipment for production of job requirements.
• Operating utility locater and placing paint lines or flags of utility lines to ensure safe trenching.
• Read the job layout including valves and meters that may or may not have been located.
• Operating trenching equipment, duct work laying, cable pulling, and completing driveway and sidewalk boring.
• Maintain bore logs
• Read blueprints organization of materials and other resources as necessary to complete excavation requirements.
• Restore customer lawns, sidewalks, landscaping back to original conditions.
