GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician to install and maintain buried broadband fiber optic or coaxial cables across residential and commercial sites. You will operate locators, trenching equipment, and perform bore work while documenting logs and blueprints.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong safety awareness, and the ability to read maps and prints. This on‑site role involves outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required or preferred.
• Experience in utility locating or trenching is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards and ability to read maps or prints.

Responsibilities

• Operate a utility locator and mark lines to ensure safe trenching.
• Read layouts and locate valves, meters, and utilities.
• Operate trenching equipment, lay duct, pull cable, and bore driveways.
• Maintain bore logs and document field work.
• Read blueprints and organize materials for excavation.
• Restore lawns and landscaping after work and maintain relations.
