Job summary

GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician to install and maintain low-voltage broadband fiber or coax cables buried underground on residential, commercial, and business sites. Safety and trenching accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities include operating utility locators, marking lines, reading job layouts, trenching and duct work, and restoring lawns after work. A high school diploma and some utility locator experience are required; outdoor work in all weather is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate utility locator and place paint lines or flags for utility lines to ensure safe trenching.
• Read job layouts including valves and meter housings.
• Operate trenching equipment and perform duct work, cable pulling, and driveway/sidewalk boring.
• Maintain bore logs.
• Restore customer lawns and landscaping after work.
• Collaborate with team and other duties as assigned.
