Job summary

InterCon Construction, Inc. is seeking CDL-trained installation crews to work on underground telecommunications and fiber optic cable projects in Wisconsin. You will prepare sites, locate utilities, and install innerduct and cable, supporting safe, efficient operations.

This role requires willingness to travel, physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work on varied terrains. We prize attention to detail and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL Class A required.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in underground utilities.
• Experience installing fiber optic cables preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate hazards.
• Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Install underground telecommunications cable/innerduct.
• Follow safety standards throughout process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
