Job summary

InterCon Construction, Inc. is seeking a hands-on crew member to install underground telecommunications and fiber optic cables in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

You will prepare sites, locate utilities, signal equipment operators, and safely load and move materials as part of a fast-paced construction team. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license and Class A CDL, and are willing to travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in underground utilities.
• Experience installing fiber optic cables preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate hazards.
• Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Excavate and fill trenches and ditches.
• Install underground telecommunications cable/innerduct.
• Follow safety standards throughout process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
