Job summary

Maxsim Inc. is seeking a Telecommunication Underground Construction Laborer to build, install, maintain and repair subterranean fiber, coaxial, and conduit systems. You will prepare sites, place conduit and cables, and operate or assist with trenching equipment as needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, identifying utilities to prevent strikes, and restoring sites after work. Must be able to lift heavy items, work outdoors in all weather, and hold a valid driver''s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent field experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift heavy items (55+ lbs.), and stay on your feet for long shifts.
• Valid driver''s license; CDL may be required depending on equipment.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are standard.

Responsibilities

• Site Preparation & Digging: Clear brush, excavate soil, and dig trenches by hand or with heavy equipment.
• Conduit & Cable Placement: Install underground pipes and pull/blow fiber-optic and coaxial cables.
• Equipment Operation: Assist operators or run trenchers, plows, HDD units.
• Site Restoration: Backfill trenches, compact earth, and patch paving or concrete.
• Safety & Compliance: Identify underground utilities to prevent strikes and follow OSHA guidelines.
