Job summary

GTS is seeking a Drop Bury Technician in Ocala, FL to install and maintain underground low-voltage broadband fiber optic or coaxial cables at residential, commercial, and business sites. You will operate locator tools, read layouts, and perform trenching and boring as needed.

Responsibilities include placing lines and markers, restoring turf, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety and highway-control compliance. A high school diploma or GED is required; utility locating experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in utility locating preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operating locator tools and placing paint lines or flags for utility lines.
• Read job layouts and ensure safe trenching activities.
• Operate trenching equipment and perform boring as needed.
• Restore customer lawns and landscaping after work.
• Other duties as assigned.
