Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Buried Drop Technician in Florida to perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from the hub to customers’ homes. Overnight travel may be required.

You will diagnose, connect customer services, train teammates, and operate trenching equipment while following safety guidelines. This is a safety sensitive role with strict physical requirements and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Basic technology and math skills required.
• Ability to distinguish colors present in color-coded cable.
• Strong customer focus and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop to connect network to customer residences.
• Use technical expertise and customer focus to create meaningful connections with customers.
• Interpret work drawings and complete necessary paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
• Operate handheld computer for retrieving and clearing job tasks.
• Perform locates on underground facilities as applicable during job tasks.
• Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
• All other tasks as assigned.
