Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety‑focused Foreman to lead a crew in constructing and repairing underground distribution systems. You will work energized and de‑energized lines and may travel to various job sites across the country as needed.

You will report to the General Foreman. Responsibilities include leading crew members, conducting safety briefings, coaching junior workers, and ensuring quality and on‑time project completion.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent underground line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Coach and train lower classification employees in safe procedures.
• Oversee work and ensure quality and completion deadlines.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors; troubleshoot faults on primary and secondary lines.
• Understand switching and tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage with proper PPE and test equipment.
• Perform live-line work using insulated sticks for testing voltage and switching of energized lines.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
