Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC seeks a safety‑focused Foreman to lead a crew in constructing and repairing electrical underground distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to multiple job sites, and report to the General Foreman.

The role requires five years of underground experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to travel. You will supervise safety briefings, ensure quality, and manage deadlines in diverse outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Five years of underground line experience are required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized underground distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Coach and train lower classification employees in safe and productive work procedures.
• Oversee project work and ensure quality and deadlines.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors; troubleshoot and locate faults on primary/secondary systems.
• Understand switching, tagging, grounding, and poten tial differences while using appropriate tools and test equipment.
• Work in confined spaces and near energized equipment.
• Operate excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions; be available for outages, storms, emergencies, including on-call rotation.
• Perform live-line work with PPE and insulated sticks for testing voltage and switching.
