Job summary

Service Electric Company, a SEC subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks an experienced Estimator to create bids for our underground electrical projects. You will collaborate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to optimize profitability and workforce usage.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 3+ years of electrical estimating experience, with strong Excel and project management skills. Moderate travel to job sites and bid opportunities are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of estimating experience in the electrical construction field.
• Experience with underground electrical construction.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the RFP process and prepare bid documents.
• Collaborate with Lead and Senior Estimators on bid materials for legal review.
• Identify bid type, scope, materials, labor, timeframes, and bonding requirements.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite visits as needed.
• Assist in takeoffs and project planning with the estimating team.
• Finalize schedules and work plans with leadership; submit final bids for approval.
