Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Mississippi is seeking a Class C Lineman Underground to safely construct and repair underground distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and may travel to different job sites as needed, reporting to the Foreman. The role requires two years of underground line experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to travel. You must lift up to 50 pounds and endure outdoor conditions, including outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Two years of underground line experience required.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Outages, storms, emergencies including on‑call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair underground distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors.
• Learn switching and tagging procedures, grounding and induced voltage.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment under supervision.
• Operate excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and at job sites.
