Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Mississippi is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You may work on energized lines and travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, as required by operations.

Responsibilities include leading crew members, training apprentices, installing lines and poles, and performing live-line work with appropriate PPE. Safety and the ability to work outdoors in all weather are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Out-of-state assignments are possible.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in the absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Perform live-line work with proper PPE and techniques.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and at heights.
• Operate bucket trucks and other equipment.
• Respond to outages, storms, and emergencies.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE standards.
