Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Underground Lineman to construct and repair energized underground systems. You will work at various job sites, including out-of-state locations, reporting to the Foreman. Emphasis is on safety and teamwork.

You will lead crews when needed, train apprentices, and operate equipment such as backhoes, bucket trucks, and digger trucks in varied weather and settings.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willingness to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized systems with safety first.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power conductors and related hardware.
• Operate backhoes, bucket trucks, digger trucks and mini excavators.
• Follow PPE protocols and safety practices while working near energized equipment.
