Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support our team in constructing, repairing and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist with installation, maintenance, and inspection tasks while prioritizing safety and teamwork.

This role involves outdoor work in varied weather, long-distance travel on short notice, and the potential for overtime and on-call rotations. A valid Driver's License is required with the ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew in building, repairing, and maintaining underground electrical distribution systems.
• Help install and repair underground facilities, conductors, and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Follow safety protocols and PPE use during all tasks.
• Inspect PPE and understand proper PPE usage.
