Job summary

Pike Corporation is hiring a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the team, perform manual labor and operate basic site equipment, while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The role requires willingness to travel, overtime, and working in diverse weather conditions. A valid driver’s license and CDL readiness within 60 days are essential for assignment readiness.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist construction and maintenance of underground distribution systems.
• Help install and repair underground facilities and conductors.
• Maintain excavation equipment and tools used on site.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stay safety-focused.
• Support outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
