Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Groundman to support construction and maintenance of underground electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew under the Foreman, helping install and repair underground facilities while prioritizing safety.

This role requires working outdoors in all weather, lifting up to 50 pounds, and travel or on-call duties including outages and emergencies. A valid driver’s license is required with CDL possible within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required; CDL within 60 days if not already held.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push or pull loads up to 50 pounds.
• Outdoor work in varying environmental conditions.
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair underground distribution systems while prioritizing safety.
• Assist with installation and repair of underground facilities, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain excavation equipment including backhoes, trenchers, and pulling equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind or storms.
• Respond to outages, storms and emergencies including on-call rotations.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE and insulation procedures.
