Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with two years of full-time experience working with underserved populations.
• Ability to build relationships in advising, coaching and mentoring settings.
• Experience providing academic or social supports for first-generation, low-income, or underserved minority groups.
• Collaborative work within a team and with other campus units.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of academic and social supports for underserved students and inclusive advocacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for students facing personal, academic, or financial concerns.
• Triaging student concerns and coordinating with campus partners for resources.
• Responding to referrals from faculty and staff to support retention efforts.
• Engaging with students using multiple communication channels (in-person, email, text, phone).
• Document contacts in digital notes system and monitor student progress.
• Apply culturally informed advocacy strategies and collaborate with student success stakeholders.
