Fitchburg State University is seeking an AV Student Technician to join the campus events team. You will assist in setting up, operating, and breaking down AV equipment for on-campus events, ensuring smooth audiovisual experiences for attendees.

This part-time, student-only role offers hands-on training with lighting, sound, and projection systems, plus a friendly work environment and opportunities to develop professional skills while supporting university events.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule with evenings and weekends available.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment for events on campus.

• Communicate repairs or requirements for equipment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a tech-savvy and enthusiastic AV Student Technicianto join our team. As an AV Student Technician, you will play acrucial role in providing audiovisual support and ensuring theseamless operation of audio, video, and lighting equipment forevents on campus. You will receive training and work alongsideexperienced technicians to develop your skills in AV equipmentsetup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. • Familiarity with presentation software and AV interfaces.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and identifynecessary resources.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time, non-benefited student only position. Hoursvary not to exceed 20 hours per week. Hourly rate $15.00.
