California State University, Stanislaus seeks four Instructional Student Assistants to join a biotechnology research team at the Turlock campus. Work spans molecular biology, microbiology and genomics with strong emphasis on the circular bioeconomy and hands-on skill development.

Open to current Stanislaus State students; positions are part-time (5–20 hrs/week) with an $18.00/hour wage. Travel to partner facilities may be required; start Sept 1, 2026 and end by Oct 31, 2026.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Strong background in biology and solid performance in introductory and mid-level science courses.

Responsibilities

• Work with Dr. Alok Arun and Dr. Tricia Van Laar on biotechnology research projects.
• Gain hands-on experience with molecular biology, microbiology, genomics and biomaterials valorization.
• Present research findings at a regional or national conference.
