Job summary

California State University, Stanislaus is seeking undergraduate students to join a research team working at the intersection of plant, microbial, and algal biotechnology. The positions offer hands-on training in molecular biology, genomics and biomaterials valorization, with no prior experience required and travel to partner sites possible.

Open to students currently enrolled at Stanislaus, with 5–20 hours per week and a wage of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Strong background and interest in biology.
• Solid performance in introductory and mid-level science courses.

Responsibilities

• Join our research team focusing on plant, microbial and algal biotechnology.
• Gain hands-on experience with molecular biology, microbiology and genomics.
• Present research findings at regional or national conferences.
• Occasional travel to partner facilities or field sites may be required.
