CSU Stanislaus is seeking a Student Assistant in the Department of Biological Sciences for a temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study position. Responsibilities include clerical duties, receptionist tasks, and updating student records.

Start date on/after Sep 2, 2026 with end by May 21, 2027, possible renewal based on budget and performance. Position requires undergraduate enrollment in six Fall/Spring units and possession of Financial Aid award.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be registered in a minimum of six Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year.
• Preferred: ability to operate office equipment and maintain confidentiality.
• Preferred: strong written and oral communication skills.
• Preferred: ability to work under pressure in a large department.
• Preferred: friendly receptionist skills and independence with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in general clerical duties including data entry, filing, inventory, and answering phones.
• Perform receptionist duties at the reception desk and manage mail/packages.
• Update student files and assist with other duties as assigned.
