Job summary

CHEManager International seeks two undergraduate Research Assistants for the NSF-funded project aimed at integrating high-performance computing into undergraduate STEM courses. You will assist Dr. Ying Cao and contribute to assessment development under faculty supervision.

Positions run for the 2027-2028 academic year with 144 hours per student at $15/hour, totaling $2,160 per year per student. Hours are arranged with the supervisor; timesheets track actual hours.

Qualifications

• Regular, full-time student enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester.
• Must have FAFSA on file with Financial Aid for the current academic year.
• Interest in educational research; willingness to learn research methods.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize literature relevant to HPC education and student learning.
• Attend research meetings and assist with preparing materials and documenting decisions.
• Help develop assessment tools and organize a research-data management system.
• Assist with instructor interviews and pilot data collection.
• Organize research data and assist with preliminary analysis and summaries.
