Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an HPC Client Services Student Assistant to support users of our High-Performance Computing systems. You will blend technical problem-solving with customer service to ensure smooth operation of OSC resources.

Currently enrolled undergraduates in CS, data science, engineering, or math programs may apply. The role offers 20 hours/week during business hours and a hybrid on-site/remote setup on West Campus, with a starting rate of $15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Basic Linux/UNIX skills.
• Experience in scripting and programming (C/C++, Fortran or Python).
• Good written and communication skills.
• Courteous, helpful, professional attitude.
• Experience in high performance computing; more advanced Linux/UNIX, scripting and programming is a plus.
