Job summary

High Point University is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant for the Survey Research Center. The position supports national and statewide polls, with remote work and up to 20 hours per week, starting at $12.00 per hour for Fall 2026.

The role involves data entry, analysis, protocol development, and coordinating with the team. You will mentor undergraduate researchers, assist with survey design using Qualtrics, and help prepare reports and presentations while aligning with IRB requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate Research Assistants must be able to work independently.
• Must be in good standing as a High Point University graduate student.
• Must possess honesty and integrity.
• Experience with data tools is a bonus but not required; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Processing and managing data by entering, transcribing, and coding survey data using Excel, SPSS, R, ATLAS.ti, and other tools.
• Analyzing data and reporting findings contributing to summary reports, press releases, articles, and conference presentations.
• Scheduling, attending, and contributing to research project team meetings.
• Conducting literature reviews using online databases and tools like Research Rabbit.
• Compiling and creating survey, focus group, and interview protocols and materials.
• Collecting data by creating and deploying surveys using Qualtrics, and scheduling focus groups and interviews.
• Managing IRB submissions for research projects and completing necessary IRB training.
• Attending SRC lab sessions.
