Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as required.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain professional communication with site contacts, law enforcement, and emergency service personnel.
