Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Boston, MA to patrol and safeguard clients across financial institutions and other sites. You will provide a visible security presence, support access control, and assist employees and visitors with professional service.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you may select a schedule that fits your life, with evening and weekend options and a pay rate of $22.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.
