Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Columbia, MO to provide customer service and security presence at a retail location. You will perform unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent; customer service experience is preferred. Schedule includes daytime and evening shifts with pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help support loss prevention efforts and compliance with site policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
