Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Driver Response to serve and safeguard clients in government facilities. You will perform routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a visible presence.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, being at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government location.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit per site procedures.
• Complete required activity logs and incident reports accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government correctional location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly report observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and exit in accordance with established site procedures; direct visitors and personnel as needed.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
