Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Inspections for a government location. You will provide customer service, monitor access, conduct routine patrols, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional presence.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, being at least 18, a high school diploma, and passing background and drug screening as required by law.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Inspections in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeters, entry points, parking areas, and common areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with established post orders and facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, access-control activity, and observed conditions while maintaining professional communication with facility staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
