Job Description

As a Unarmed Security Officer Train Station in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and assist visitors and personnel with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $26.79 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public at a government location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, observe visitor and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation; communicate relevant information during shift transitions and with Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
