Allied Universal in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer at a railway station to protect people and property while delivering professional customer service.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, document incidents, and coordinate with site personnel under post orders. The role requires 1+ year security experience and a valid guard card; CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff and the public while carrying out security procedures and emergency response at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas and perimeter.

As a Unarmed Security Officer Railway Station in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and collaborate with site personnel. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $26.79 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Tue 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM, Sun 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting policy violations, suspicious behavior, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
