Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background checks in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public while following security procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization; report access concerns to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following protocols and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare clear reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities; communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Unarmed Security Officer Train Station Graveyard in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that values integrity, innovation, and collaboration.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
